A Multi-Purpose Garden Office and Living Space in Troon
A stylish and practical garden room designed to create a dedicated home office, craft room and additional living space.
The brief
What the client wanted
Julie approached Designer Garden Rooms looking to make better use of the space available in her garden in Troon.
Rather than creating a garden room for one specific purpose, the aim was to design a versatile space that could become part of everyday life.
Julie wanted the room to provide:
A dedicated garden office for working from home.
A comfortable area that could be used as additional living space.
Space for crafts and hobbies away from the main house.
A contemporary finish that complemented the surrounding garden.
A room that could comfortably serve different purposes throughout the year.
The Kaky Brown exterior finish was chosen to give the garden room a modern appearance while helping it sit naturally within the outdoor space.
Our solution
How we built it
With several different uses planned for the room, the focus was on creating an open and flexible interior rather than designing the space around one fixed purpose.
The finished garden room gives Julie a dedicated space away from the main house that can adapt depending on how she wants to use it.
During the working day, it provides a separate garden office with the privacy needed to work from home. Outside working hours, the same room can be used for crafts, hobbies or simply as additional living space.
The Kaky Brown exterior gives the building a clean contemporary finish and helps create a garden room that feels like a considered part of the property rather than simply an addition to it.
The result is a genuinely multi-purpose garden room that gives Julie more usable space without changing the layout of her home.
Whether it is being used as an office, a creative space or somewhere to relax, the finished room demonstrates how a bespoke garden room can be designed around several different aspects of everyday life.
